The challenge
A fire service line going into a UDOT roadway, which means working in state right-of-way under permit: a live traffic lane, restricted night working hours, and a connection taken off a main that could not be shut down. The roadway had to be back in service by morning, every night.
The result
Line installed and connected, roadway restored with flowfill and the concrete flatwork put back to UDOT standard. The lane went back to traffic at the end of each shift.
